Highlights in the Obergurgl - Hochgurgl ski area
One real highlight in the Obergurgl ski area is a trip to Top Mountain Star. Way up at over 3000 metres, on the Wurmkogel, Top Mountain Star, a panorama bar which is glazed the whole way round, sits enthroned on a narrow ridge . You can enjoy a genuine unrestricted view to the Ötztal Alps, and to the famous Dolomites. You really shouldn't miss this breathtaking view!
What's more, the Hohe Mut is one of the loveliest viewing mountains in Tyrol. From the mountain ridge you get a breathtaking view to 21 three thousand metre mountains and glaciers. The nostalgic chair lift was replaced in 2007 with a new, state-of-the-art 8-seater cabin. This comfortable cabin takes from the centre of Obergurgl to the mountain station at 2670m altitude in just 9 minutes. The ascent is also accessible for pedestrian users.

Train connection from Obergurgl to Hochgurgl:
An 8-seater cable car connects the ski areas of Obergurgl and Hochgurgl. The journey along the 3.6 km track takes just nine minutes. With a total of 50 eight-seater gondola lifts, the new loop cableway has a capacity of 1200 people per hour. The panorama gondola negotiates the Königs- and Verwalltal, providing skiers with an unforgettable view to the surrounding glacier peaks.
Night-time skiing - a special skiing experience
Night-time skiing every Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. You shouldn't miss this spectacular event. The 8 km piste is brightly lit with floodlights and runs direct to the Hotel Hochfirst. At 9:00 p.m. Skischule Obergurgl then holds its ski show right in front of the Festkogl Alpine lodge.
