Sports-conscious winter guests can get their fitness levels up in Obergurgl/Hochgurgl on 12 kilometres of cross-country ski tracks. In Obergurgl there is a 3 kilometre practice ski track and a 7 kilometre ski track available. In Hochgurgl there is also an altitude ski track which is 2 kilometres in length. In total in the winter sports paradise of Ötztal 185 kilometres of very well-tended ski tracks await cross-country skiers. Obergurgl ski school also offers cross-country courses. Access to the ski tracks is just 3 minutes from the Hotel Hochfirst.

Access at the car park at Hochgurglbahn valley station. Flat at the bottom of the valley in Pill/Angern – easy to moderate ascent via the Isse meadows to Königsrain and Alt-Poschach - along the right side of the Ötztaler Ache back past the Hotel Jagdhof to the car park.

Two flat ski track circuits with connecting track along the Ötztaler Ache to Bobo's children’s area – cross the stream – cross the bridge to Bartebene.

Access above Hochgurgl’s chapel at the ski run, proceeds quite flat in a lovely scenic circuit via the tree limits to Königstal. A section of the ski track is floodlit and is offered in a separate track as a winter hiking trail.
