Top Mountain Star

A must-see in the Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski area is a visit to the Top Mountain Star. Perched atop the Wurmkogl, at an altitude of over 3,000 meters, is a panoramic bar with glass walls on all sides, situated on a narrow ridge. Enjoy a truly boundless view of the Ötztal Alps all the way to the famous Dolomites. Don’t miss this breathtaking view from the Top Mountain Star!

's Hohe Mut Viewpoint

The Hohe Mut is one of Tyrol’s most beautiful mountains offering panoramic views. From the mountain ridge, you’ll enjoy a magnificent view of 21 three-thousand-meter peaks and the glaciers—including the “Hochfirst” mountain, which rises to 3,403 meters. The nostalgic chairlift was replaced in 2007 by a state-of-the-art 8-person gondola. Today, you can take it from the center of Obergurgl in just 9 minutes to the mountain station at 2,670 meters above sea level in complete comfort.

Night Skiing in Obergurgl

Night skiing takes place once a week, starting at 6:30 p.m. You won’t want to miss this spectacular event. The 8-kilometer-long slope is brightly lit by floodlights and leads directly to the Hochfirst.

"Top Express" Commuter Train

The “Top Express” 8-person gondola provides a direct connection between the Obergurgl and Hochgurgl ski areas. In just 9 minutes, the gondola crosses the Königs Valley and the Verwall Valley. Skiers enjoy an unparalleled view of the surrounding peaks along the way. Noteworthy: With a total of 50 8-person gondolas, the loop lift can handle a capacity of 1,200 people per hour.
