Top Mountain Star
A real highlight in the Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski area is a trip to the Top Mountain Star. Up at over 3,000 metres on the Wurmkogel, sitting enthroned on a narrow ridge is the Top Mountain Star, a panorama bar with wrap-around windows. Enjoy a truly unlimited view to the Ötztal alps, right through to the famous Dolomites. You shouldn’t miss this breath-taking panoramic view!
Hohe Mut viewing mountain
The Hohe Mut is considered one of the most beautiful panorama mountains in Tyrol. From the ridge you have a breathtaking view of 21 three thousand meter peaks and glaciers. The nostalgic chairlift was replaced in 2007 with a modern new 8-passenger cabin. Today you can comfortably reach the top station at 2,670 m in 9 minutes from the center of Obergurgl.
Night skiing in Obergurgl
Night skiing takes place every Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. This is a spectacular event not to be missed. The 8 kilometre floodlit slope is brightly lit and takes you directly to the Hotel Hochfirst. At 9:00 p.m. there is then a breath-taking ski show by Obergurgl ski school right outside the Festkogl Alm hut.
An 8-seater lift linking the Obergurgl & Hochgurgl ski areas. The journey is just nine minutes on this 3.6 kilometre route. With a total of 50 8-seater gondola cabins, the new monocable gondola can deal with an hourly capacity of 1,200 people – the panorama gondola overcomes Königstal and Verwalltal. Skiers enjoy an incomparable view to the surrounding summits.
